The winfingerprint project is still alive. It has been more than two years since the last release, but I have started developing winfingerprint again. A while ago, I started work on a rewrite that was 90% backend rewrite 10% GUI update.
I have once again picked up that code and have began adding MySQL embedded server. The MySQL database will be responsible for report storage and generation and should be a drastic improvement over the existing rich edit control. Stay tuned and thanks for being so patient.

After not making any real winfingerprint improvements for over a year, I have once again resumed development on the open source version. While I have not yet made a release, the version in CVS "works". I am currently in the process of redesigning the threading, so for now the CVS version is single threaded which will "hang" the GUI until the scan completes. |

Soon, you will be able to purchase shareware versions of winfingerprint through Regnow.com
Expect other tools including a version of wininterrogate capable of fault injection to follow soon. There is also an affiliates program for those that are interested.
I have also added a PAD (Portable Application Description) file here.
If you are interested in licensing the new winfingerprint library for inclusion in a commercial application, contact sales[at]winfingerprint.com |
